This billboard promotes House of Ruth Maryland by making its viewers aware of its importance by informing them that domestic violence can be just as much verbal as it can be physical. The image on the left of the angry man draws viewers eyes over to the large text that he’s shouting. The concept for this billboard is that the last word changes every 15-20 seconds, so that as drivers are traveling, they can easily see the abuse taking place. This captures attention while instilling in the viewer a sense that something is wrong with this picture. The supporting copy clarifies confusion: domestic violence can include verbal abuse, and help can be sought after via Hour of Ruth Maryland’s phone number.
